The inclusion of environmental education
in our curriculum to teach our students
and create a sustainable school

From its earliest beginnings, GSD has been firmly committed to environmental education encompassing all the topics set forth under the sustainable development objectives of the United Nations. The purpose is transversal across all areas of study in order to create a sustainable school in harmony with its environment.

The GSD International School’s environmental program culminates in receiving the Blue Flag award granted for good ecological practices in Costa Rican schools, as well as the same awarded by the Environmental and Consumer Education Association and the Foundation for Environmental Education (ADEAC-FEE), an international award with over 50,000 participating schools worldwide.

It designates the center’s environmental representatives and committee made up of students and teachers to conduct activities designed to promote and defend our environment
