Students Shine in Spectacular Performance of Beauty and the Beast

4 December 2024

As the 2024 academic year ended, the school experienced an unforgettable moment with the staging of the musical The Beauty and the Beast, a production that stood out for its professionalism and talent. This annual event brought together students from various levels of primary and secondary education, who, under the direction of the outstanding directors Catharine Whittaker and Alejandra Muñoz, captivated everyone in attendance. They were also joined by teachers from various disciplines within the school’s music and arts departments.

The musical, based on the iconic fairy tale by 18th-century French author Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, transported the audience to a magical world where love, courage, and redemption take center stage. The students demonstrated not only their command of the English language but also an impressive level of acting and vocal talent, dazzling the audience during the five performances, all of which were completely sold out.

The production was a true masterpiece. The young actors’ talent was complemented by stunning scenery, impeccable musical accompaniment, and costumes that seemed to come straight out of a fairy tale. Every detail, from the dialogues to the choreography, was meticulously designed to deliver an unforgettable experience.

The audience, visibly moved, could not hold back their applause at the end of each performance, acknowledging the effort, dedication, and passion of everyone involved. This success not only reaffirms the school’s commitment to educational and artistic excellence but also highlights the transformative power of teamwork and creativity.

Thank you to all the students, teachers, and families who made this unforgettable show possible! We can’t wait to see what surprises next year’s musical theater production will bring.
