Mr. Juan Barrilero, Head of GSD International School Costa Rica attended a reception last Saturday on the visit of His Majesty the King, D. Felipe VI that took place at the residence of the Ambassador of Spain in Costa Rica.

H.M. the King traveled on May 7 to the Republic of Costa Rica with Mr. José Manuel Albares, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation to attend the acts of transfer of presidential command, to the President-elect, H.E. Mr. Rodrigo Chaves.

After his arrival at the Juan Santamaría International Airport, the King held a meeting with the Spanish community in Costa Rica, sponsored by the ambassador, Mrs. María Cristina Pérez and the diplomatic staff. The Head of GSD International School Costa Rica, Mr. Juan Barrilero, was invited to this reception and had the opportunity to greet His Majesty and briefly explain the educational project of the Gredos San Diego Cooperative in Costa Rica.

This trip of the King and the Minister shows us, not only of the bonds of friendship that unite Costa Rica and Spain, but of the will of both nations to strengthen their alliance. Our school is a great example of this mutually beneficial bond.
